This is me today

Facing my computer, don't know what to write. There's been a lot of going on my mind. I can't focus. I been sitting in front of the computer for about an hour. Can't say anything.

I must say that this day is my "Out of Focus Day". I woke early this morning, went outside to play basketball. Do household chores. Then after that, washed our dishes. Take a nap. Then woke up again, took my food (breakfast, lunch and snack).

And now I'm currently doing my blog. No topic at all, just wanna' share something.

Super Boredom.

Happy New Year

Fireworks are very beautiful to see during the New Year's Eve, but they are also dangerous when being misuse especially for the children.

We want to start our year 2011 right and of course safe together with our family. The true essence of new year is not just by lighting fireworks, but what is more important is that we celebrate the coming new year with our family . Another year to do our best of living our life to the fullest.

We must avoid using fireworks. By doing this, we can get a lot of benefits, like good health, complete body parts, we can save money, save others from danger, help in preserving Mother Nature and we're going to have a happy new year.

This 2011, say no to using of fireworks. We our not professionals, let's leave it to them. It is more happier if we just celebrate the new year by giving love and peace for our friends, enemies and love ones. I believe that if we do this simple things, we will going to have a fruitful new year an God will grant us with more blessings.

Rejoice the Birth of Jesus Christ

December 25, 2010. Rejoicing the birth of Jesus Christ.

This day is not only for giving and receiving gifts.Today we are united again for one reason only, to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

As I woke up this morning, I feel that Jesus is within me. I'm happy that Jesus is born as well as the whole Humanity. Full of happiness, peace, hope, and love for this wonderful day. No chaos, no enemies, no war, no fighting, just sharing of love. I saw a lot of people walking very happy and some people that I knew weren't. Some unfortunate people go to house to house to ask for some gifts. I like to give them something, but it was sad on my part that I don't have anything to offer them because even us is less fortunate.

Last night on celebrating the "Noche Buena" it was successful but not happy. Because we're not complete. But even so, I'm still thankful for the blessing that we received and will be receiving. This is the first time that I feel so very happy on my 21 years of living here on earth. It is so nice when you are doing good things for your self, to other people and of course for God.

I told to myself that this will be the day for me start the changes in my life. Even if the year 2010 is not yet over, I will consider this as my New Year's Resolution. I must start my 2011 right together with God, my Family, my friends, and the people on the earth.

We must thank the Lord for this day for the blessings and love He shares and gives for the Humanity. And may we pray for those less fortunate people for their happiness and good health. May they feel the Love of God.

All this is the work of the kindness of our God; He, the Dayspring, shall visit us in His mercy to shine on those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
- Luke1:78 -

Greatest Gift

What do you want for this Christmas?

Some would care for a new car, or even a new cellphone?

If you would ask me what I want for Christmas, that would be for my family to be happy. It's been years from now since the last time our family was complete during Christmas. My mom is in Italy working for our own good. I'm a simple person and i'm not really a material person when it comes to receiving gifts.

Let's say that I have all the money, clothes and gadgets in the world but will it make me happy when I know that my family and I are not together to celebrate the Christmas? No. My family has been there since my childhood although sometimes there's been a misunderstanding and problems we face, but material things can never ever replace my happiness when I'm with my family.

I'm still looking forward for my wish this Christmas and that is for my family to be happy. For now I'm satisfied to know that my Mom is happy even though she can't come home. I know there's still lot of years to come for us to reunite and be able to celebrate the Happy Holidays.

Christmas Day is telling and reminding us that gifts are not really important, what more important is giving love and joy to every person especially to your family. Value every moment with your family for it may be the last you'll ever see them again.

I love my Mom, Dad, and my Brother.

I don't care how poor a man is; if he has family, he's rich.

Who are we? We are the St. Jude Birds.

A bond of friendship that is hard to destroy. Different names but one heart and one name we represent. Different personalities but together we stand. Name it, St. Jude Birds have it all. From basketball player up to Theatre Artist.

Difficulties and struggles do come in our way, but never say never is what we believe. We are more than friends, we are Family. In happiness and in sadness we are still One. Never let go of anyone because we care for each and everyone of us. Love and happiness is what our friendship is made of. Anyone may be broken but we make sure that we pick up the broken pieces.

"Your friend is the man who knows all about you, and still likes you." -- Elbert Hubbard

We know our weaknesses and we know our strengths. That's what makes us stronger than any group. One voice we speak, one body we act. Greatness is what we aim for and offer it to God Almighty.

Wanna break us? Think again because you won't succeed.....

Healthy Snack for a Healthy Appetite

California Wacky is a drawing inspiration from the sushi dish, the sandwich is filled with kani (crab meat), mango, eggs, and lettuce. The result is a light sandwich due mainly to the sweetness of the ripe mango and the soft texture of the crab meat. What makes the sandwich unique is its Japanese flavor which comes from the wasabi mayo used to dress the filling.

Who doesn’t love sandwiches? In fact, sandwiches were a major part of everyone’s diet especially during the growing up years. Because of the quick and convenient manner in which one can cram almost anything on it, sandwiches have endeared palates all over the world. Filipinos have adopted sandwiches into everyday meals. However, sandwiches have been locally limited to snacks and "in-between" meals.

There's one place hoping that they could break this practices. The recently opened Chuck's Deli located at the heart of Bonifacio Global City. If you are craving for big American sandwiches, then Chuck's Deli is your place. This deli serves American-style sandwiches designed to pack in a full meal.

Chuck's Deli offers a range of  sandwiches classified into four types: burgers, "flatwich," "subwich," and their signature piece the "slabwich."
They're not just typical sandwiches that we see because all the sandwiches they offer are all Nutritious. This is the good place for those people who are health conscious but they want to eat "snacks." Some of their dishes were inspired by international cuisines.

These are some of their sandwiches:

There are a lot of fast food chains and restaurants have opened all over the world. In our modern times, people are going back to those traditional and healthy foods. Why? Simply because they want to be healthy. It's amazing that there are still people who are into food business, who think out of their box (particularly the Filipinos) not just the money  but offering quality services and healthy food.  As a Hotel and Restaurant Management student, I also want to make sure that the foods that I am cooking and serving for the customer are not just ordinary food but a healthy one.

Chuck's Deli is two thumbs up for me.

So if you want to experience Chuck's Deli sandwiches just visit them at the Serendra Piazza, Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City or contact them through telephone number (02)576-4210. For more information, check out www.chucksdeli.com.ph.

Dream come true turns Blue

Basketball was once my dream.

This morning I sat down in front of my computer and I suddenly remember my High School Life. I was a basketball varsity @ University of the Assumption back then. It was so great during those times. Basketball was not just a game but a dream for me. I love to play it together with my friends and co-varsity. Actually no one taught me how to play the game, I just discover myself that I'm good at it.

Those days were so great that everything seems right. I was one of the star players and co-captain of the team. We were so strong that time, the scouts were all impressed on us. But one of my regrets is that I never experienced to win a championship during my basketball career.

Championship is a dream come true for me. I'm still hoping that someday I'll get one. It was hard for me to let go of my dream. My parents didn't even supported me during those time. I remember when I asked my Dad to come on our championship game to watch me play. It was sad for me because he told me that "I have no future on playing basketball". I never mind what my Dad told, because I believe on myself that I can play. I continue playing with heart forgetting what he said and just focus on the game.

Now I'm on my college life. It's been long time since the last time I played my passion. Dream come true now it's turning blue. After we lose that championship game, I remembered what my Dad told me. From that day on, I gave up my dream and It was so frustrating for me to do it. I was not given a chance, no support from my family. Every  day and every night these failure keeps on coming back on me. I know that if you love doing something, never ever let it go, but this time I have to admit that basketball is not my career. Basketball now for me is just a passion that I will never forget. And I'm so thankful that basketball has been a part of my life, taught me to how fight, how to discipline myself, and how to trust God.

I keep on telling to myself, "God has better plan for me".

Hope at Night

The Universe is but one vast symbol of God.
-Thomas Carlyle-

I wonder why does the Universe, the moon and stars shines only at night. Is it because the Sun is too bright during the day for them not to be seen?

I observed the cold night finding answer to my question. It's very relaxing to see the stars brighting and shining with different sizes and shapes. Even the moon cools my eyes. As time goes by, I finally found the answer to my question.

In our life there's not always a shiny and bright day. There will come a time darkness will prevail. We are not always on the top, sometimes we are down. God created the Universe, the stars and the moon for us to serve as our light in darkness. They shine during the night to guide us on our way whenever we are down, whenever we struggle. They are relaxing to see because they want to remind us that after a long day of hard work, stressful and problematic day there's still hope for us to live our life to the fullest during the night. Very calming and quiet, so refreshing, seems like everything goes right. Forgetting all the worries and problems just enjoying the night. The cool air blows me with peace and love together with the sounds of the the animals saying tomorrow would be a great day for all of us.

Pasko sa Pinas'

Christmas in Philippines is the best.

Where can you find the sweet kakanins, puto bumbong, pagmamano, giant lanterns, belen, simbang gabi and more? They are all here only in the Philippines. Nothing beats the fun, excitement and merriment of our very own Christmas.

Pan de Manila joins the Filipino family in celebrating this holiday tradition – the Noche Buena – by unveiling its packaging, paper bag, tin can, and bread box with the design theme “Paskong Pinoy” created by noted illustrator Joel Chua. Now, the freshly-baked pandesal and specialty breads of Pan de Manila can also be given as a gift in this season of giving.

Christmas is a joyful time for our family and friends. A time for love and sharing. A time where families rejoice Jesus Christ's Birthday. Noche Buena in the Philippines is an integral part of our "Paskong Pinoy" reminds us the true meaning of this season and bringing back the values and tradition of Filipinos.

It's very inspiring and I'm happy to know that there are artist like Joel Chua who give importance to this kind of event. An environment friendly. Very wise idea to design a simple bag that means a lot. It's not just only for promoting the product itself but to remind us with our tradition and practices that some of us already forgotten them. Showing and giving this simple gift will touch the hearts of our loved ones and dear friends.

I'm proud and glad to say that I am Pinoy. There's no place other than Philippines where you can experience a very unique, fun, exciting and memorable Christmas. Come and visit Philippines this Christmas.
Pilipinas kay ganda.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Fascinating, Captivating but is it Lasting?

She's so beautiful.

Beautiful faces are very attractive that may satisfy your eyes. But what makes a person more attracting is the character that she has. I knew lot of beautiful women but some of them were disappointing and some of them are impressive.

Beauty never last but the personality of a person may last into our memories. Yes, for now they have the most beautiful face and body, but will it last for long? As the saying goes "Don't judge a book by its cover", I believe that. You may not tell a person's personality simply by looking on her physical appearance but instead you must learn how to be friend and socialize with her. It's not wrong to be amaze by this faces, it's alright to admire them.

It is very disappointing to know that some of the women are wasting their life in porno, drugs, etc. God gave this body to be taken care of not to destroy and waste them. But who am I? For those ladies out who are blessed, live your life to the fullest. Be contented on what you have, use them well and may you share it with people. Inspire and influence them with good things. I can say myself is not handsome, but what is beautiful about me is that I have a heart and hand for people who needs help and support. As I have said before simple things may lead into great change. I am here writing stuffs to inspire people that have dreams and high hopes.

She's an Angel

Dreaming of a little girl on our house.......

Ever since I was a child and since I was the youngest on our family, I dream of having a baby sister. But my Mom can no longer bear a child. I love children, little girl. Whenever I see them playing around, my heart trembles as if I want to join them, smile and laugh with them. They are angels to me that God have shared for us.

The feeling whenever they are around is different. As if you are in heaven with angels beside you making you smile whenever you are sad, making you laugh whenever you cry, and love you whenever no one loves you.
I love to hear their voices it makes you feel there's no problem at all. Voices of angels that ease the pain inside you and make them vanish.

I wish I had a baby sister beside me. I know why God never gave my Mom a girl instead He gave her two boys because God has better plan for all of us. He gave my brother a wonderful child, so cute baby boy named Gestivo. We are thankful and blessed to have him in our family. He may not be a girl, but still he is an angel for us.

Time Travel

Time Travel is it possible for us to do it?

I have watched movies about time travelling and I wonder how it feels to jump back from the past and into the future. See I had this moment a while ago, remembering my past. Reminiscing moments that I had for the past 21 years of my life.

I regret wasting my time and money for the past years of my life. It was too late for me to turn back and fix it all just like that. If God will grant me one wish, that wish will be to go back in past and have my life fixed. Quality time with my family, especially to my Dad. Doing good at school, healthy lifestyle. These are some of  the things that I'm supposed to be doing on the past and at the present. Time is ticking so fast. Am I still able to achieve this? They say that time is gold, every second, every minute and every hour counts, but I didn't believe them that day. Now I am 21 years old, I realized all of those things I've done now. I feel bad for myself. Am I too late to be on the right track?

Now the year will end and a new beginning for me for the year 2011. I still got Faith on me and to God,  I can feel that this time I will be on the right track. Getting a new life, well of course will start with myself. Forgetting the past won't be easy for me, but I have to do it, together with my family, my real friends, to those people that influences me, and finally with God. I may not be able to experience the Time Travelling just like what I saw on the movies but at least I can say that I have traveled on my own time in my own way.

There's never too late for a Man who is determined and willing to get a good life.

Happy Friday

December 17, 2010, great day I experienced. I had my new phone, my Family is happy, and this day I consider it as "Pinay Beauty Day" simply because the time I went out the house until I got home, I saw lots of beautiful pinays around. I feel good really. The first time I really felt good about myself. This thing I'm doing right now, I was inspired by a friend named "Chie". She encouraged me to make one, and suddenly I asked myself. Do I really have to this? I was thinking, but then I still tried to make one, and it felt good.

To tell you guys, trying making one. Be yourself while doing this, be free of words. Share what you think and what you feel. I love myself that's why I'm doing this, sharing my life with you. A good thing to do to end your 2010 and a fresh start for your 2011.

Simple Laughter on Christmas Day

God made Life simple and with full of happiness. It's a matter of how we make our life simple and easy. Enjoying every single moment of our life makes us "Human".

After the examination, I sat down for a while, observing students pass by the corridor, chatting with their friends and classmates, laughing out loud. Some we're too serious and some don't have any reaction at all. And then a group of students we're preparing something. They're bringing with them a bunch of roses and a big stuff toy. They surprise a charming lady knowing it all came from her boyfriend. It was their 1st anniversary. The lady was so happy. Seeing that moment makes me remember when I was doing the same thing for my girl.

Different people, different personalities. I asked myself, "what makes them happy?"

I saw a poor child asking an elegant man for a coin just to feed her hungry stomach. But, the elegant man ignored her and walked away knowing that girl is hungry. I approach that child and buy her food. Afterwards, I was so happy seeing a glimpse of smile on her. And then she starts talking and talking and talking until she finished her food. She said to me, "Kuya salamat po. Merry Christmas po." After hearing that coming from a poor girl that I don't even know of, I was so blessed that I was able to make that poor girl happy again.

"Give on Love on Christmas Day" as the song says. Making a Man Happy is not just by giving Him money or materials things. This Christmas, let's offer the people our warming and loving heart. Let's make them feel that this coming Christmas is for all and there's still Love   and Peace in the world we're living as for God offered us Unconditional Love.

You? What will you offer this Christmas?
